So I took yesterday off to finish altering Morgan's dress, and finished early (on Wednesday night!) and took the day off any way. I did get the Mission poster blogs all caught up. I got all the birthday blogs all caught up, as well as Tanner's Baptism day. The next thing I'm going to tackle is getting the vacation blogs caught up. All two of them. The one to Vegas may take a couple of blogs because we had so much fun.....the one to New Mexico as well. Anyway, hopefully I get to that tomorrow, or the first of next week.
Wynn came home last night and told me that they had today off instead of tomorrow because of the parts they need not being there until Saturday. Then he asked if I was going to take the day off and spend it with him. SURE! Twist my arm. Oh, darn, I have to find a sub. Drew was already taken. So I spent a while and finally at 9:30pm found a sub! YAY!!!
So today I took Tanner to school and got things ready for Grandpa Joe to teach my kindergartners. 2nd grade was having a Valentines party for reading groups. Then I headed home.
We had what I'm calling a high school/college date, and boy was it fun. First we went bowling (which I haven't been for so long that I totally stink on ice at it) then went grocery shopping for a couple of items. Took them home then headed for a movie in the middle of the day. I love that. And I love that Wynn took me to see 'When In Rome', a total chick flick. He is so great like that! It was really cute (predictable ending) but still really cute. I would so watch it again, even let my kids watch it. I told him next week he could take me to see 'Valentines Day'. And he's so great like that that he probably will.

Happy Happy Birthday Baby!
Today is Wynn's 46th Birthday!!! And he had the day off! For his birthday he took me to see 'The Proposal'. We loved it. See what a great guy he is? He does stuff like that for me all the time. He is such a sweetie. That's why I love him. So just for being such a great guy, we got him something he's been wanting for a while......

Forgot the candles....so he got the 'OLD' one

Also forgot that we were out of wrapping paper.
The towel seemed to do fine.

I think he liked it anyway. Even without wrapping paper!

But I did remember the most important thing....
the present he really wanted!
(and it's expandable for him to make all that yummy stuff he wants!)
Happy Birthday!!!!

My Life This Week...So Far/Tanner swimming vids
Monday-6/22
- Tanner's swimming lessons. They kept him in the higher level. Yeah! We'll see how he does.
- Went to the movie at the theater. Kung Fu Panda. Yep seen it before, will probably see it again. We love it.
- Got all my pictures off my camera. Took a while but it's done!
Tuesday-6/23
- Tanner's swimming lessons. He did Ok. Don't know that he'll progress enough to pass this time, but at least they didn't move him down. (The vids are all super short)
His teacher is Drew's friend from high school
He did better on his first swim across the pool but I didn't have the camera ready. He is a little tired on this trip.
Can't get the concept of no arms quite yet
Better this time!
- Movie at the library...Tale of Despereaux. Hadn't seen it before. Wasn't what I was expecting. It was ok.
- The library called as soon as we got home from the movie. Our books on hold were in, so we went back down and got them.
- Got all of my pictures put on my blogs of the vacation. Took all day. SUPER YEAH!!! They start on June 7th. Go ahead. Take a look. I'm not a great photographer, but some of them are actually rather good!
Wednesday-6-24
- Tanner swimming lessons. (Even shorter vids)
Not quite comfortable
The penguin dive/no help
- Took Morgan to the doctor. He was afraid her cough was because of asthma. It wasn't! She just has junk in her lungs. Relief. He gave her meds and some nasty cough med for night time. She can't take it during the day he said because it does some funny stuff to ya. Hmmmm.
- Read.
- It's warm. But not as hot as it would be without my new curtains. It's such a short period that it gets warm in here I think we can live. We'll see what happens if we get hotter days than today.

I haven't read the book yet....
But my 4 girls have. I took Drew, Morgan, Lexie & Leza to see Twilight yesterday. It was a Friday afternoon at 1:30. Of course, it was the day after Thanksgiving, so we got there early....not early enough apparently though. We didn't sit together. There was 1 empty seat here & there, so we asked people to scoot down to fill in empty seats so Morgan & Lexie could sit together on the end of a middle row, then clear in the top row so Drew & Leza could sit together. Everyone did so happily. They were all so nice about it. Several people were having to do the same thing. I found one empty seat where the people actually volunteered to scoot down so I could actually sit in front of Morgan & Lexie. There were only 2 empty parking spaces, in the back parking lot, after I found a parking spot. Was it worth it??? Remember, I haven't read the book. I LOVED the movie! My girls have read the book.....they LOVED the movie. All 4 of them. They say that I now have to find the time to read the book, that I will still love it. AND that I definitely have to read the other 3 as well. Maybe I can read them over the 2 weeks I have off for Christmas. We'll see.
Oh, and I am an Edward fan.......
